This gift is one of the more unique memorial gifts we’ve made to date. The photo of the sun through the trees is etched on the back of the glass. The photo of the man and the text/poem are etched on the front. This piece is done on an 8″x10″ beveled flat glass. If you like this piece, we request that you find another image for the background. Our customer we created this gift for supplied us with the background image of the sun shining through the trees. This piece also comes with a set of acrylic feet.

Should I even give a Memorial Gift?

I can’t tell you how many times I struggled with where to find a memorial gift. And whether or not I should even give a sympathy gift. But after the reaction I received from the recipient of my first gift, I knew I was doing the right thing.

Now I create my own sympathy gifts. What I started doing was taking a photograph of the loved one who passed away, etched it, then added a poem or text from the heart. Now let me say that your options are almost endless. We have created sympathy gifts from flat glass, like this one. We’ve also done them on vases and bowls. But most of them are done on flat glass and crescents.
